What's happening..
There will be a volunteer work day on Saturday August 16, 2008, 9:00 AM CST. Meet at Maple Springs Campground (click here for directions). Larry Johnson, NPS Volunteer Coordinator will provide all tools needed. Work days generally finish by 1:00 and you are welcome to ride afterwards.
Stay abreast of where we stand and what is being done to support the equine riders in Kentucky and how you can help.
There is nothing more beautiful and fun as riding a horse through the beautiful backcountry horse trails at Mammoth Cave National Park. MCETRA is an organization dedicated to supporting the numerous equine riders that visit our state. We participate in volunteer work days to help keep the NPS trails in good condition. We represent the trail riding community when it comes to issues that affect the back country trails of Mammoth Cave and other trails in the state. We schedule activities to bring the community of horse riders together for group rides and outings.
